What Are You Wearing Today?

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

Being patriotic is one thing, but looking like a walking American flag is a whole other story. Whatever you decide to don on this beautiful Independence Day, please don’t let your wardrobe get caught up in all the nationalistic paraphernalia. Here, I have shared some storyboards I created that demonstrate a swank approach to dressing like a star and not like the Star Spangled Banner. To refrain from looking too literal, build an outfit around a red, white and blue color palette with classic yet au courant garments and accessories. If you don’t want to step out of your comfort zone, a simple beauty fix such as alluring red lipstick or royal blue nails are enough to inject festive panache. Simply use these looks as inspiration as you piece together your own ensemble this morning.

The name Hoda (pronounced Hood-a) means guidance. It's no wonder I'm a natural born guidance giver of style. Fashion is more than just supermodels strutting down a runway in $5,000 Christian Louboutin heels... it's a business, a culture, a lifestyle and for some like me, it's a passion.
