Summer is nearly over but we are still experiencing record breaking high temperatures. Humid summer days can present wardrobe challenges. How do you dress with class and sophistication while keeping cool in the unbearable heat?

We’ve all seen people reveal far too much of their bodies in an effort to stay cool. Some people dress in styles that are unflattering, thinking that it’s appropriate or acceptable because of the climate conditions.

There’s nothing wrong with wearing a micro mini skirt or a midriff-baring blouse, but there is a right way and a wrong way to wear skin-exposing clothing. Be careful not to show one too many assets because it can give the wrong impression. There are four B’s and one L to keep in mind: the bust, belly, back, butt and the legs. Here is a simple rule to follow that will ensure you look classy while staying cool: Show off either the bust, the belly, the back or the legs. Never bare all at once, and definitely never show off your butt.

It seems simple but you may be surprised at just how many people make the mistake of wearing something risqué, such as cheek-revealing shorts with a tube top.

Here are some tips to help you conquer the heat in style:

Check out how these fashionistas mastered swank ensembles in the sweltering weather.

Lauren paired cotton white shorts with a sheer top for a chic, classic look. The sheer blouse is soft, feminine and lightweight, sure to keep her cool.

Bold coral shorts with a tied belt add a bit of summer fun to Meredith’s polished, prep look. These shorts are a great way to show some leg while wearing a clean, traditional style.

Jessica paired her comfy collegiate shorts with a cold-shoulder shirt, creating a flirty, pulled-together look, showing just the right amount of skin.

An asymmetrical skirt is a great way to show off just enough leg. Christian matched a sheer asymmetrical skirt and midriff barring top for a hassle-free yet sophisticated look. She completed her outfit with a jean jacket.

Bria paired her colorful maxi dress with understated jewelry and flat sandals. Maxi dresses are perfect for hot summer days. Not only are most maxi dresses loose, soft and light, but many styles also highlight the back and arms.

The name Hoda (pronounced Hood-a) means guidance. It's no wonder I'm a natural born guidance giver of style. Fashion is more than just supermodels strutting down a runway in $5,000 Christian Louboutin heels... it's a business, a culture, a lifestyle and for some like me, it's a passion.
